A Missional Church
IMAGINE THE IMPACT of changing the DNA of our church where we become more missional and service oriented in all that we do. IMAGINE the power of ministering to others in Word and Deed. The Gospel is not just about hearing of God's love, but also of demonstrating God's love to others.
IMPACT WEEKENDS are our plan to get us out of our seats and into service for Christ. Three times a year we are going to venture out as an entire church to serve our neighbors and to demonstrate the love of Christ for them. We will join together strategically to find ways to make a difference in the lives of others by ministering to the hurting, to the sick, to the old, to the empty, to the spiritually dead, and to the homeless.
We will ask the question, “If Jesus were here with us in the flesh, what would he do naturally to love his neighbors?” The answers we discover will lead us into new, exciting avenues enabling us to reach new people with the gospel. By doing this, we will begin a new spiritual journey at Cornerstone and a new understanding of what it means to be a mature Christian.
Bringing Non-KingdomPeople to Maturity in Christ
Let us begin this new work as a church by offering ourselves together in small projects. Even though we do not yet fully know where this effort will go, we do know that God will lead us. We do not just want to build a new building, we want to change and deepen our ministry by reaching out into our community. Because this is a priority at our church and for our vision of bringing non-kingdom people to Christ, we are committing 10% of all that we give to our Capital Campaign as a tithe to MISSIONAL WORK.
5% of our Capital Campaign Gifts will be used for FOREIGN MISSIONS around the world.
5% of our Capital Campaign Gifts will be used for MISSIONAL WORK in Cornerstone's city and neighborhoods.
SERVICE
You will be asked not only to give sacrificially, but to be involved in these new efforts. IMAGINE THE IMPACT that we will have as we unite as a church committed to our mission and turning our words into action!
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17
