Saturday, November 15 -- two different opportunities

Help paint a building and lay a wooden floor at the North River Pregnancy Crises Center in Palmetto. We'll start at 9:30am. This is a small, "family friendly" opportunity. Contact: Jim Crawford, 758-9386

Reach out to the inner-city poor. Go "walkabout", not in Australia but right here in Sarasota. Join our group as we walk around a neighborhood in Newtown, pick up litter, and say hi to the neighbors. (We will not be handing out tracts.) This is an introduction to the Adopt-a-Block ministry at Gifts from God. This is an opportunity for teenagers and adults. Hours 9:30am to noon. Sunday, November 16 -- two different opportunities

Visit with the elderly residents at Freedom Village in Bradenton. We'll talk and maybe do a craft project with them. This is a "family friendly" opportunity. Hours: 9:45am to noon. Contact: Kristen Kwiatkowski, 527-7298

Cook dinner for the girls and women living at the Manasota Solve Crisis Pregnancy homes. Dianne already has a menu planned and we will share the cooking which we will do at our own homes. We also need a few families who would like to eat dinner with the residents. Dinner will be at 3:00pm. There are two homes, one in Bradenton and one in Englewood. Contact: Dianne Elliott, 776-0286.4

Future Opportunity - We are planning to put on a new roof for one of our Cornerstone family members. It's still in the planning stage. We'll let you know more later. Call Jim Crawford if you would like to volunteer.
