| Why are we pursuing the Imagine the Impact Campaign?
 God has given Cornerstone a unique gift. Our church has an atmosphere that is spiritual and authentic. Through this atmosphere God has developed a church where His Word is loved, where worship is rich and heartfelt, and where people are finding faith in Christ and growing in it. God has brought amazing growth to our church! We have been growing at more than 22% a year and our current facility is full. If we do nothing, our church will flounder and God's Spirit will be quenched in our midst. The elders of the church feel that we are at a strategic moment. We have sat too long and have not been involved enough in deeds for Christ. We need to harvest the seeds that have been planted in our hearts during this season and prepare for a new crop of non-kingdom neighbors who are just outside our doors. We are committed to changing the DNA of our church and deepening our commitment to Christ. The time to act is now! What specifically do we want to accomplish in the Campaign? Imagine the Impact is a vision for increasing Cornerstone's effectiveness to gather, to equip, and to send our congregation into greater and more purposeful kingdom activity. Specifically, we desire to . . . * Build additional to our current facility that will enhance our ability to continue to GATHER new families in lakewood Ranch and the surrounding area. * Build additions to our current facility that will enhance our ability to EQUIP our church family for futher maturity and activity for Christ. * Refocus our ministry so that we are much more committed to SENDING our congregation into Lakewood Ranch, the surrounding communities, and around the world in missional activity. What new additions will we build? We will build three new additions. First, there will be a new multi-purpose worship center that will double as a gym and as a place for church socials. This addition will include a full kitchen and a coffee bar. Second, there will be a large welcome area and children's ministry area with an indoor playground and larger nursery areas. Third, there will be new classrooms for both adults and children. We are also trying to shell-in a future office area that we will finish in the future. How much will this cost? The total project cost is more than 5 million dollars. We want to raise 2.5 million over the next three years and borrow the other half. The great test for Cornerstone will be whether our entire church will get behind this and participate at a sacrificial level. Although we are growing quickly we are still a small church with many seasonal people. We need everyone to prayerfully consider how God would have them be involved. What's next for Cornerstone after this building project? For our future, we are considering Church Planting and/or Satellit Campuses to continue to reach our neighborhood and to keep Cornerstone from becoming a "mega-church." There are also additional phased buildout plans for our current property in future years.
