What Part Can I Play?
With the blessing of continued growth comes responsibility from the church. You are the church. Cornerstone Church of Lakewood Ranch is not a structure of concrete; it is a fellowship of people – a body of believers who have faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are all called to make disciples and bring them to maturity in Christ, by the power of God. Bringing non-kingdom people to maturity in Christ is what we do at Cornerstone. As a part of Cornerstone, you play a vital role in the growth of God's kingdom here and all around you. Your time, talent, and treasures will have a significant impact on this stewardship journey that the Lord has called us to make.
Therefore GO and MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  Matthew 28:19-20 
 
Jesus gave his church a great mission, and our mission today is the same. Together as the church...
  • We are to GO – by leaving our comfort zones and making a real personal effort to reach others.
  • We are to MAKE DISCIPLES – by being used of God to call people to a committed relationship with Christ through the gospel of grace in Christ.
  • We are to TEACH OBEDIENCE to Christ's commandments – which is what defines a mature Christian.
These biblical mandates are reflected in our mission statement:
Bringing Non-Kingdom People to Maturity in Christ.

As we embark on this awesome task at hand and give our time, talents, and resources to this journey, it is also time that we seek the Lord for His direction on how each one of us can make a personal commitment to this vision. Each of us has the ability to give at a different level, so it is important that you pray and carefully consider your resources as you determine your commitment. Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice from everyone defines this journey of stewardship – this journey of changing lives together. Imagine the Impact we will have for the Kingdom of God if we all prayerfully commit ourselves to the vision of the church.
